Local Chico, Calif. rapper, GThizz, records a verse in his studio, listens to it, concludes it does not meet his perfectionist style and records it again until it aligns with his standards.
           

GThizz started rapping back in 2007, and refers to his music as a “healthy hobby.”

           

Originally from Stockton, Calif., GThizz moved to Chico in order to play football at Butte College.  After graduating with a degree in Social Science, he went on to attend Kansas Sates.  He later returned to Chico, where he now resides.

GThizz says his motto is “Don’t ask questions, make statements, because when you ask questions you get answers and when you make statements you get results.”

           

GThizz certainly aims for results in the studio, where even with quite a few people around, talking and having a fun time, he remains focused on recording each verse to the best of his ability.
